Eleanor is 100!

Last Saturday I had the honor of photographing Eleanor's 100th birthday party. Spry doesn't begin to describe this lovely lady. She has more spunk and energy than many half her age! Her family threw her a wonderful party at Breckenridge Village in Willoughby. Some of the photos from this event:

No detail was forgotten -- all the way down to the napkins....

As the guests entered the lobby, they were treated to news clippings of Eleanor's life which included volunteer service, among other things. There was also a really creative drawing describing this "super mother."

They were lined up out the door to greet this lovely lady. To the far left is her 90-year old brother who happened to mention to me that he just played 18 holes of golf that morning!

Did I mention that no detail was forgotten? Even her walker was decorated...

Smiles, conversation, celebration and love were abundant on this day...

A video of old home movies played for guests to enjoy...

Eleanor was the belle of the ball -- and everyone wanted a picture!

Including me! I managed to get a few...

Food For Thought provided the delicious hors d'oeuvres.

Bob and John said a few words about Eleanor -- loving and funny memories were shared. Everyone had a chuckle when they said that even though she was 100, she could still lift her foot over her head! I chuckled too and imagined that it was just a figure of speech, until....

she did! Not only did she lift her foot up this high -- she kept it there until folks had a chance to take photos!

A bagpiper serenaded the presentation of her cake...

and finally...a moment to enjoy the delicious cake!

It was an honor to meet this wonderful family and I wish Eleanor much health and happiness!
