Michelle and Nick - Wedding of 5/22/10

I had a great time photographing Michelle and Nick's wedding last Saturday. Despite some ominous weather threatening the plans for an outdoor wedding, the weather held out (barely!). I have to say that Michelle and Nick had such a great group of family and friends - it was really a pleasure spending time with them.

Their ceremony and reception was held at Michaud's in Strongsville - and I was so impressed with both the beautiful grounds outside and the wonderful staff.

On to Michelle and Nick's wedding story... (click on individual pictures to see larger versions)

Dad stopped by just Michelle was getting ready to walk down the aisle. They hugged. As he watched her walk away, he was overcome for a moment and said out loud, "Wow." She turned to look at him.

One of the customs they incorporated into their reception was the Filipino money dance. Money was placed into the grooms teeth, who then passed it to his bride to receive. This was so incredibly funny at times -- and definitely a money dance I won't forget!!...

Brandy - Senior Portraits

Brandy and I met up at Lakeview Beach in Lorain to take her senior portraits. It was a bit dreary outside and, at times, drizzling rain -- but Brandy was a great sport about it and we forged ahead with the session. Even though I'm not a fan of dreary, it did give me an opportunity to incorporate an umbrella into a picture :-). Brandy was great to work with - I enjoyed spending time with her today. On to the photos (click individual photos to enlarge)

Sarah and Kevin Get Married!

Sarah and Kevin were married this past Saturday on a beautiful sunny May afternoon. They have a large wedding party of close friends and it was clear that there was a whole lot of love and support for this special couple. There was also a whole lot of laughter! It was great spending the day with them...here is a short story of their day... (click on individual pictures to enlarge)

Applying the finishing touches to makeup...

Sarah's hair stylist/make up artist/friend/bridesmaid was running out of time, so as she was finishing up Sarah, she was also having her hair done. This is multitasking at it's best!

As Sarah was having her veil put on, the bridesmaids were overwhelmed with emotion...

Sarah got dressed at St. Jude's church in Elyria with some help from her bridesmaids...

Readjusting the veil... ouch!

I love the pure joy showing on Sarah's face as she walks up the aisle with her father....

The emotion overcame her as she was saying her vows...

The look of love ...

Angels? :-) Perhaps. But *this* heavenly glow was due to the fact that the bridesmaids sat under a beam of sunlight coming from the ceiling of the church :-)

An overhead view of this beautiful church from the balcony...

And they are married!

A dandelion? :-) They are so underrated. This dandelion stood tall and proud in the perfectly kept and manicured grass. A good symbol for a strong, healthy relationship.

Sarah's bouquet was breathtaking

Sarah and Kevin's caketop:

They chose one of their engagement pictures for the sign in mat. This is one of my all time favorites!

Their first dance as husband and wife...

Kaden -- peeking to see Kevin remove the garter...

This sweet little thing was the flower girl...

By the end of the night, Kaden was finally partied out...

I loved each moment of this day -- it was a privilege to share in their day!
