Christina and Casey - portrait session

Meet Christina - She's my daughter. Sweet kid. She looks angelic, doesn't she? (ha!)

And Casey - Tina's boyfriend and a Ph.D. candidate in something I can't pronounce at Case Western Reserve University. He looks sort of serious and scholarly, doesn't he? (ha!)

Tina asked me to take some photos of her and Casey at Wade Lagoon while it is in bloom. Since I was going to be down there, I said, "Surrrree! 20 minutes should give you a few nice photos." Now I know Tina -- and I know Casey -- and I should have known what I was in for.

Tina and Casey have been together for 7 years. And Casey hates getting his picture taken. He will do anything and everything to thwart my effort to get a "regular" photo. And Tina? She laughs at everything he does :-)

As I was going through these pictures, I am struck by how well these two fit together. They are unpretentious and really enjoy being together. It's a beautiful thing.

Their normal pictures are the photo compositions. The single photos are the rare moments that they were caught being sane :-) Click on the photos to see larger versions.

Penelope and Sean - Engagement Session

I met with Penelope and Sean on what had to be one of the most colorful days of the year at Wade Oval Lagoon in University Heights. The trees were at the peak of bloom. Now...if the weather could have cooperated...but Cleveland weather, such as it is, is unpredictable. Two days before this, it was sunny and 80. This day, however, it was a chilly 40ish with some drizzle. We made the best of it and got some great shots. I'm looking forward to their June wedding!

Mayah and Aleah

I had the privilege of photographing newborn Mayah, big sister Aleah and their mom and dad, David and Nicole (and their dog, Lucy!). Here are a few of their family pictures...

Kyndall and Kennedy

I had the pleasure of re-visiting Kyndall and Kennedy for a Spring portrait session. I first met them during the Christmas season when I took some portraits of their whole family. Why is it that I never cease to be amazed at what a difference a few months makes in the growth of little babies!

Kyndall was Disney Princess, Tiana, come to life -- she loved the camera (and I love that!), and was not shy about playing the part of a princess. It was too hard to choose which pictures to put in this blog because she gave me so many interesting, fun shots.

Both little girls were so happy go lucky that it was truly a pleasure spending time with them this afternoon.

Here are just a few of the many photos I took today... (as always, click on individual pictures to see a larger version)
