Angela and Nick - 10/3/09

Angela and Nick got married in the beautiful little wedding chapel at Grand Pacific Junction in Olmsted Falls last Saturday - I've been looking forward to this wedding for a while! Angela was the maid of honor in Tara and Jordan's July wedding in July, so between that and their engagement session, I felt like they were already good friends! I also knew from the engagement session that Angela and Nick were as sweet and nice as they come -- what I didn't realize was that have a love for the adventure of mountain biking and in fact, is how they met! With the unpredictable Cleveland weather throwing challenges to outdoor pictures, Nick made a call to Ray's Mountain Biking in Cleveland to ask if we could take some pictures of the bridal party inside. We were thrilled when he said yes, especially since they aren't officially open for another two weeks. What an amazing place - who would have thought that inside a large warehouse, there would be this incredible set up for mountain bike enthusiasts. Some pictures (click to enlarge)

Angela getting ready with a little help from her mom and matron of honor...

Her jewelery was exquisite, and all her accessories were sitting in this quaint mirrored tray, it looked too perfect to rearrange...
Angela's dress was beautiful!...

It seemed like "getting ready" flew by and before you knew it, it was off to the chapel...
I don't know why I'm fascinated with pictures of people taking pictures..
"the kiss"

And here we are, at Ray's Mountain Biking on Walford Road in Cleveland...

I loved the "grittiness" of this place in contrast to the glamor of the bridal party...So Nick wanted to take a picture on the "teeter totter" -- bikes actually ride over this thing. There was only a tiny bit of hesitation on Angela's part (I had visions of a bride flying up into the air)..but with a little help from her friends, she made it onto her side and they found their "balance."

Now you must realize what a herculean effort it was to walk those slats in heels...Kudos to Angela...she blew it off as inconsequential and not one complaint. Simply awesome.

What better setting for their rings than on bike handles in front of the "start" sign...

Nick and his best man did this three or four times...not because it was fun or anything ;-)I took a little artistic license with the bike spokes...

Their elegant cake top...and rings

Lovely card box...
and sometimes you just need to close your eyes and take it all in...
