It was truly a pleasure to photograph Andrea and DaLan's wedding on Saturday. It didn't matter that it rained from morning until night - in fact, it didn't phase them at all. They didn't fret about the small stuff -- and were just so excited that the day that they have been waiting for had finally arrived! It felt like I was photographing old friends -- I had spent some time with Andrea on Thursday for her bridal portrait session and then stopped by their rehearsal on Saturday to get familiar with the church. Gracious and kind doesn't even begin to describe this beautiful couple. They were all that and much much more, as were their families.
Some photos... (click on individual pictures to enlarge)
Hair and makeup near completion...
Gorgeous, numerous, tiny buttons lined the backs of the bridesmaids dresses...
Everyone wants a photo of the bride walking down the aisle!
Andrea gets teary-eyed before DaLan begins to read his vows...(actually...Andrea shed happy tears throughout!)Rain, rain, go away....
In keeping with their black and white/movie theme, I shot a film noir-ish photo...
The detail that went into planning the theme for this wedding was incredible!
DaLan wins points for the MOST creative and energetic garter removal! :-) What I love as much as the looks on Andrea and DaLan's faces are the faces of the guests watching...
Toward the end of the evening I noticed the lights in the hallway and asked them for a quick photo -- I'm so glad I did...
