Rosemary and Josh - Engagement Session

I met with Rosemary and Josh yesterday to shoot some engagement pictures. Got a lot of wonderful shots at Crocker Park and Huntington Beach. They were a natural in front of the camera. It's funny...as I go through the pictures, their personalities shine through. Rosemary has these wonderfully expressive eyes, and Josh has a bit of mischief in him :-) When I get a chance, maybe I'll do a compilation of these traits in a photo montage. I really really enjoyed spending time with them today and am looking forward to their June 2010 wedding! (click on individual images to get a larger view)

Crocker Park has an outdoor area with chess sets all ready to play, none of us know how to play chess, so faked it for a while and then ended up dressing the pieces as the bride and groom, choosing just the right pieces to "play" officiant, attendants and guests.

I just want to know what Josh said in Rosemary's ear to provoke this reaction

Carnivals are soooooo colorful....

A whole lot of the pictures were of laughter - It's so nice to see two people just so happy to be together :-)

the eyes have it...

Huntington Beach was so crowded that I couldn't find a spot to park near the beach and had to park across the street. There's this under-road tunnel that leads right to the beach area. What a wonderful discovery...that tunnel gave us these fantastic photos...

I really really really love the quiet simple elegance of this one...
gorgeous gorgeous hair....I'd love to do a whole session just in this tunnel...

Everyone gets and "almost kiss" :-) And they were good at it...

Did I say the beach was crowded? A Sunday during Independence Day weekend on a beautiful 80 something degree day -- not conducive to romance on the beach. :-( Thank goodness for the clone tool in PhotoShop...

And finally...a "moment" of serenity on the Lake Erie shoreline. I think the matching jerseys are cute....
